2/18/2000 News: My Maxima has now been sold. It was fun while it's lasted, but I've moved on to faster, lower, and louder things.. :)
Welcome to my Maxima Website. Because of my interest for these wonderful cars, I have spent a lot of time putting together this website.. i.e. writing up the blurbs in MaxFAQs, taking pictures of my car to illustrate upgrades & customizations, etc.. Heck, I even ran the web-based Maxima Forum for a period of one year between 1998 and 1999. Some would call this a hobby.. others more critical of me call it an unhealty obsession. :-) I highly encourage everybody to read the FAQ before posting on the list or forum.. I've taken a lot of the frequently asked questions from these two communications media and answered them there. As for the pictures of my Maxima, I hope you enjoy viewing them and get a feel for what a nicely customized Maxima can look like. My Maxima is a 1997 SE 5-speed, champagne with beige cloth interior. Other than the intentional lack of leather (too hot in Texas), it's fully loaded with ABS (rare), security & convenience package, sunroof, and 200W Bose audio system. It was very difficult to locate this configuration; the ABS was the hardest item to find -- I had to drive to Denver to buy it in May 1997.
I purchased a Nissan Security+ Gold 7yr/100,000 mile extended warranty for peace of mind immediately after buying the car.
I've made a few modifications to my Maxima over time, but nothing major. The mods are for handling and for looks -- the drivetrain is quite satisfying right out of the box and I don't care to modify it.
